What are the benefits in undertaking “A Quest for Greatness” for Individuals and Companies within the Corporate World?

To give you a greater understanding of yourself and of others can only benefit the work place as you empathise and appreciate the people around you. Interpersonal relationships are the most important aspects of the workplace and not always part of ones CV however being able to relate to others, while recognising your own strengths and weaknesses and how you relate and manage colleagues can have the biggest impact upon the work place and your own personal life. Your personal journey to a balanced work life where the people you work with as well as the job make it a pleasure to work (actually life really isn’t work!) Individually and together you can create a harmonious environment alive with creativity.

What is the Impact of “A Quest For Greatness” Personally?

Understanding yourself, valuing your inner person and recognising the power of self love can only benefit you as a person and ultimately those around you and your life generally. Recognising how you work, the power you posses and you’re ability to draw on your unique resilience makes for inner contentment but also the desire to explore who you are even more.

What are the benefits in undertaking “A Quest for Greatness” for Individuals and Companies within the Corporate World?
In my experience corporate life happens at break neck pace and leaves very little time for thinking and reflection. Often I experience people frustrated with the results they get from the way they behave but they do not take the time to consider other options. I think the Quest for Greatness makes you think and question who you are and what you bring to the world.

What is the Impact of “A Quest For Greatness” Personally? It’s opening my eyes to the ways I hold myself back from living my potential. It’s unpicking the distorted thinking I’ve developed over the years and helping find more useful ways to think and be.

Nikki has worked in the field of personal and professional development for over a decade building her reputation on the creation and delivery of pragmatic and inspirational programs that generate lasting change. She has worked with a broad range of clients all from Graduate to CEO.

“I did my first Quest training session in the midst of taking a company public.  I am a CEO and a CMO.  Very rare to be holding two high demand, high stress jobs at the same time, particularly as one is about to go public. I’m also a dad and a husband.  The externalities and demands on my life are unrelenting. I have often thought that to do inner work it is necessary to detach from these distractions. I immersed myself into working with Catherina at the apex of activity in every aspect of my life.  This is where the program meets you.  Right in the action.  Right where you are. In the midst of the constructs about who you are and what brings you meaning and purpose. Thats why I like Quest.

Its funny, I have met so many “life coaches” over the years.  One stole money from me. Another is now homeless. And a third is neither married nor has children but advises on both.  Quest isnt a life coaching program.  Its an immersion program into the discovery of what drives your truth. Its dirty, gritty, glorious work, that takes place right on the battlefield of your life.

Kant writes in the Critique of Pure Reason: “The nominal definition of truth, namely that it is the agreement of cognition with its object.” Congruence of word and deed,  of what one is vs. how one behaves.  We live in a society of double lives.  The secret longings of true self subverted in the service of the lives we are told we must be living. But truth is where the juice is.  Truth is where the power resides.  And, happily, the joy, the compassion, the endurance.  And thats because truth is love. As Dylan Thomas wrote, “It is the force that through the green fuse drives the flower.” The closer you get your hand to that force in that green fuse, the more alive you become. The more creative.  The more free and unburdened.  I came to Quest with scoliosis of the spirit.  A bag man of lies.  I was not a liar to others as much as I was a liar to myself.  I have a mighty gift to offer in this life.  Any statement less than that is a lie.

The key here is, that to realize this gift, it is not about what I do, but rather that I am who I am in every expression of my life.  When I am in front of a bunch of Wall Street Bankers, to not try to be what I think they want me to be, but rather to be the radiant expression of who I am. My truth.  This work isnt about telling the truth.  Its about living the truth. When you get a taste of that, its quite sublime.  Yes its inner work.  But its the opposite of therapy where you go in to churn malady. This is a laser beam into a force so powerful that malady can’t exist in its presence. I am by no means a master at this.  I merely signed up for the master class at the busiest moment in my life.  Which, I am finding, is the perfect time for Quest.”

1). What did you expect  from your Quest Personal 3 day 3 night Journey with G and C in Canmore Canada, aka ” Heaven on Earth”

I didn’t have too many expectations about the Journey, frankly. Had heard anecdotes about people having major breakthroughs in their ability to love and be truthful, but beyond that I tried to stay out of the mind and just open to the experience of being with Catherina and Gerry in an awesome piece of Nature.

2) How ” different ” was your Quest personal. 3 day, 3 night journey with G and C?

Being the only participant for three days was definitely “different”. The care G and C put into taking care of my every need, was certainly beyond the norm, and a very welcome surprise! Several times I had to stuff the impulse to want to get up and help wash dishes; but was reminded repeatedly that this was my opportunity to really practice self-love.

3) What specifically have your learnt/remembered within your Quest personal 3 day 3 night journey, with G and C?

So many things stick out prominently in my memory and in the new Self that I am becoming:

The lovely heart jigsaw card: “You Complete Me” was so symbolic and beautifully integrated to the “curriculum” that was always in the background of the process, but never over-dominant. Catherina was clearly in the moment with me, following her intuition and inner guidance at every step. I felt I was clearly the center of everything that happened, that it was all for me. This was powerful and gave me deep gratitude.

Deep realizations:

That at the core of who I am is a being of Love. That is the truth of who I am. I have felt that in my mind, and lived it many times in my heart, for close to 30 years. But a new level of awakening to this truth happened for me during my Journey.

That there are many energies within me from past relationships and especially limiting thoughts and beliefs, that need clearing and replacing with limitless beliefs. This was especially profound for me. Catherina is masterful in helping you see how the patterns playing out in personal and business relationships are such clear mirrors of aspects of our own ego. These are not bad, nor should they be judged. In fact, the opposite. They need love, deeply. The different meditations and rituals we did tremendously reinforced the insights she helped me find.

It  also became clearer and clearer that a strong pattern in me remains of failing to accept my own feelings, and therefore not to express them at times in appropriate ways. The three word meme, Accept/Express/Love is a beautifully simple way for me to remember this profound truth.

The exercise that led to my statement was extremely powerful:

“I now live from the Truth of who I am, the Love that I am. All that I am meant to have, all that my heart truly desires, is being given to me.”

Having a recording of that unique moment, and remembering the dynamic between my ego and my Soul that led to my powerful declaration of that truth, is especially impactful for me. Thank you guys!

We had fun! I can’t overstate the importance of this. The Journey had many moments for me that were uncomfortable or during which resistance or fear came up. I kept trying to open to the process and felt beautifully supported and loved every moment of the Journey by both Catherina and Gerry. This was an unforgettable part of the Journey, and one I will always treasure.

Great one-liners my soul (or Catherina) came up with:

  • I now live from the Truth of who I am, the Love that I am. All that I am meant to have, all that my heart truly desires, is being given to me.
  • I am so much more than enough!
I am too blessed to be stressed!
  • I am a walking billboard for love. I only listen to love.
  • I no longer listen to lack, limitations, and lies.
  • The Universe has my back.
  • Love is the answer (whatever the question).
  • Heaven or hell is one thought away.

4) What would you share with someone considering, partaking in their own Quest Personal journey with G and C?

Do the Journey with G and C! It is a gift to yourself beyond measure. Yes you might gulp at the price tag, But the investment you make to your own soul’s evolution, the caring, skillful facilitation and intuitive coaching of catherina (and Gerry too) cannot be valued just in dollars. What is the value of a life of freedom through love? Millions of people the world over have risked death and tragedy in the name of finding freedom in a new land.  We can find it in our own heart.

I thoroughly enjoyed writing the “love letter” to myself, although the marriage ceremony wasn’t so comfortable. At least I got to kiss the bride (virtually) at the end :))

I loved how Catherina made sure that my energy and flow was “running the show” and yet the experience didn’t lag or drag, nor did I feel rushed or pressured to “be on schedule”. This was one of the most perfectly flowing experiences of my life.

The experience is “first class” in every way. From the beautiful accommodations high up in the Canadian Rockies, to the hikes and canoeing on Lake Louise, Catherina’s orchestration of the events surrounding the Journey — supported most capably and lovingly by Gerry — was also a real highlight. Of course, Catherina will say that it was me drawing all that happened, and I do accept and celebrate that! But it takes two to tango baby, and thanks to Catherina’s loving intuition, the experience was truly wonderful in all ways.
